Andreas Florist & Gifts

About

On South Island, Andreas Florist & Gifts is a florist at 55 Merrin Street, Avonhead, Christchurch 8042, New Zealand. The shop trades under the name Andreas Florist & Gifts and keeps an online home at http://www.andreasflorist.co.nz/.

What the venue is known for is its flower and gift trade, and its reputation rests on a 4.5 out of 5 average drawn from 39 reviews. That score reflects a steady following rather than passing trade, and the website gives a direct line to the shop's arrangements and gift lines. Christchurch, the city that hosts the venue, sits among the South Island centres of Queenstown, Dunedin, Nelson, Blenheim, Wanaka, Te Anau and Kaikoura.

First-time visitors can expect a florist counter and gift stock rather than a large retail floor, and the shop's own website carries its current information. Opening hours are not published with the listing, so the website is the place to look before travelling.

Reaching the venue from the island's main towns is straightforward, since Christchurch sits on the South Island's road and air network. English is the main language and te reo Māori is also official, so Māori place names appear on signs throughout the country. Small earthquakes are common because New Zealand lies on the boundary of the Pacific and Australian tectonic plates. Native birds such as tūī and kererū are common, and dolphins, fur seals and seabirds are seen around the coast.
