About this experience

Restaurants & Dining in Skiathos Town is the island’s primary culinary hub, located along the old harbour and the pedestrianised Papadiamantis Street. The town offers over 100 tavernas, seafood grills, and ouzeris within a 500-metre radius of the ferry port. Menus feature local catch like grilled octopus and anchovies, alongside Skiathos cheese pie and house-made wine.

What to expect

Seating is typically outdoors on terraces facing the old harbour, with most tables available from noon to midnight without reservation
A standard meal for two with a starter, two mains, and a half-litre of house wine costs between 35 and 50 euros
Papadiamantis Street hosts a nightly food market from 18:00 to 23:00, where vendors sell grilled souvlaki, loukoumades, and local honey
Several waterfront tavernas offer complimentary dessert, usually a slice of almond cake or a shot of raki, after the bill is settled
Vegetarian options include horta (wild greens), fava bean purée, and cheese-stuffed zucchini flowers, available at most traditional menus
The dining area suits couples and small groups; high chairs are provided at roughly half the establishments, but not all
