About this experience

Paragliding in Sipadan Island is a tandem or solo flight activity launched from the island's elevated cliffs, offering aerial views of the Celebes Sea and the surrounding coral atolls. The flight lasts 15-20 minutes, depending on wind conditions, and lands on the designated beach strip. Each session includes a safety briefing, harness and helmet, and a certified pilot for tandem flights.

What to expect

Tandem flights with a certified pilot last 15-20 minutes, covering a 2-kilometre glide path from cliff launch to beach landing.
Pre-flight instruction covers launch technique, steering, and landing posture; all harnesses, helmets, and reserve parachutes are provided.
Aerial views include the turquoise lagoon, the coral reef drop-off, and the forested interior of Sipadan Island.
Suitable for first-time flyers and experienced paragliders; minimum age is 12 years, and maximum weight is 110 kilograms.
Flights operate from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, when sea breezes are stable; each slot includes a 30-minute ground school.
A video recording of your flight is available for purchase, captured by a wing-mounted camera, with footage delivered on a USB drive.
