The website https://www.alamo.gr/car-hire-locations/gr/santorini-airport-lggy?mcid=yext:245709&utm_source=yext&utm_medium=local handles bookings for anyone arranging a vehicle ahead of arrival. Fira, Oia, Imerovigli, Firostefani, Pyrgos, Megalochori, Emporio and Kamari all sit within reach for hires collected here.
As a car rental agency, the business deals in vehicle hire rather than tours or hotel stays, so a rental is the transaction. Mesaria's position puts the agency within easy reach of the island's main villages, making it a practical collection point for drivers heading in any direction.
Santorini's vineyards produce local wines, and island bakeries sell spanakopita and tyropita, which makes a self-drive stop between villages worthwhile. Orthodox Easter is the biggest religious festival, and village panigyria mark saints' days through the summer, so roads can be busier around those dates.
