Greek island cooking features fresh seafood, olive oil, feta and local cheeses, and grilled meats, so meals around a visit tend to be hearty and locally rooted. The Greek islands are linked by an extensive ferry network plus flights from Athens and major hubs, making arrival straightforward. The main language is Greek, though English is common in tourist areas, which makes navigating the island simpler for many travellers.
