Shiso Burger
About
Found on Réunion, Shiso Burger sits at 7 Rue de la Batterie in Saint-Denis 97400, the island's northern capital. Getting there from the main resorts and towns is manageable by car or bus, since Réunion has no railway and the coastal roads carry most traffic. Saint-Gilles-les-Bains, Saint-Pierre, Cilaos, Saint-Paul, Le Tampon, Sainte-Marie and Saint-Leu all connect to Saint-Denis by road.
The location in Saint-Denis places Shiso Burger in the island's administrative and commercial centre, where the street grid meets the northern waterfront. It operates as a restaurant, serving diners on site rather than as a takeaway counter alone. A rating of 4.1 out of 5 from 567 reviews reflects steady, high-volume custom.
What the venue is known for is its burgers, and the website at shisoburger.re carries the current menu. French is the official language of Réunion, and Réunion Creole is spoken widely in daily life, so ordering in either works.
Rainfall on Réunion varies sharply, with the windward east coast far wetter than the sheltered west, which makes Saint-Denis a reasonable stop on most days. Réunion's population descends from African, Indian, European and Chinese settlers, and the island marks the abolition of slavery each December.
