L'endroit Réunion
About
Found on Réunion, L'endroit Réunion occupies 335 c Rue Hubert Delisle, Le Tampon 97430, in the island's southern highlands. It is a restaurant, and the 4.6/5 rating from 33 reviews reflects a solid local following. Its website, http://www.lendroit-reunion.fr/, carries the menu and current opening details.
Le Tampon sits inland from Saint-Pierre, on the road climbing towards the island's interior, so diners from the coastal towns make a deliberate journey rather than stopping in passing. Opening hours run from 10:30 to 14:00 and 17:30 to 21:30 on Mondays, extending to 14:30 and 21:30 from Tuesday to Thursday, and to 14:30 and midnight on the final day of the working week. The restaurant is known for its kitchen, and the 33 reviews suggest steady custom.
The late finish on that last day makes it a useful option for an evening out, while the earlier weekday closing suits a quieter meal. Because Réunion has no railway, the trip to Le Tampon is by car or bus along the inland roads.
For anyone based in Saint-Pierre or Saint-Gilles-les-Bains, the drive up to Le Tampon is straightforward, and the restaurant's position on Rue Hubert Delisle puts it within the town.
