Travellers heading to Puerto Rico will find the island served by international flights and inter-island ferries and flights, so reaching San Juan from other Caribbean destinations is straightforward. Meals across the island lean on seafood pulled from surrounding waters, fruit grown in the tropics, rice, and seasoning that carries real heat. Visitors get by in English and French in most Caribbean settings, which makes ordering and asking directions simpler. The island's driest stretch falls between December and April, while June through November brings more humidity and rain.
