Visitors to Puerto Rico will find the island's Caribbean setting shapes the year, with the drier stretch falling between December and April and the more humid months arriving from June through November. Meals across the region lean on fresh seafood, tropical fruit, rice and island-spiced cooking, and international flights together with inter-island ferries and flights connect the Caribbean islands. Travellers across the Caribbean can generally get by in English or French, since both tongues are common throughout the region.
