Ferretería López Discount
About
In Puerto Rico, Ferretería López Discount is a hardware store at PR-159 km 9.5, Padilla, Corozal 00783, Puerto Rico, a roadside stop in the Padilla area of Corozal. The store sits inland from the coastal towns, on the northern side of the island's central range, well away from the beachfront districts that draw most holiday traffic. Its stock is the kind that keeps households and small building jobs moving, and the shop is known locally as a discount hardware outlet.
First-time visitors should expect a working hardware store rather than a showroom: shelves of tools, fittings and household supplies at discount prices, with staff on hand to help find parts. The shop holds a 4.3 out of 5 average from 10 reviews, a small sample that suggests steady satisfaction among people who have stopped by. Drivers heading between San Juan and the interior can reach it without leaving the main road.
A Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/share/18hB3DbLrk/?mibextid=wwXIfr is the shop's online presence for updates and enquiries. Opening hours are not published, so the sensible approach is to call ahead before making a special trip.
For visitors, the Caribbean dry season from December to May brings lower rainfall and steady trade winds, which makes inland driving and errands easier to plan. Spanish is the everyday language, and a few words go a long way in shops away from the tourist strips. Corozal sits within reach of San Juan for a day's run, and the store is a practical stop for anyone fixing up a rental or a home base on the island.
