Diving & Snorkeling in Marina Corricella is a guided underwater tour of the volcanic seabed and rocky reefs off Procida's historic fishing harbour. The activity departs from the marina's pier and covers shallow-water sites with seagrass meadows and small caves. It operates daily from May to October, with sessions lasting two hours including equipment and a certified guide.
What to expect
- Two-hour session includes wetsuit, mask, fins, and a 10-minute safety briefing on the pier
- Snorkelers stay within 5 metres of the surface over Posidonia seagrass beds, where juvenile damselfish and octopus hide
- Divers descend to a maximum depth of 12 metres along a basalt rock wall with encrusted anemones and moray eels
- Guides point out the submerged remains of a 19th-century fishing boat, now a shelter for groupers and bream
- Suitable for beginners and certified divers alike; children aged 8 and over can snorkel with a parent
- Groups are capped at eight participants per guide, with a second guide added for mixed diving and snorkelling parties
