About this experience

The Language Schools on Curieuse Island are educational institutions offering immersive language courses within the island's national park setting, located off Praslin in the Seychelles. These schools combine structured classroom instruction with practical language use in a protected natural environment. Courses are available for international students and adults seeking intensive language training in a remote island location.

What to expect

Courses run for 2 to 12 weeks, with daily 3-hour classroom sessions and 2 hours of guided conversational practice.
Class sizes are limited to 8 students per teacher, ensuring individual attention and rapid progress.
Tuition includes all learning materials, daily lunch at the school cafeteria, and a weekly cultural excursion to the island's giant tortoise sanctuary.
Accommodation is provided in eco-lodges on the island, with full board and access to the school's library and language lab.
The programme suits adult learners (18+) at beginner to advanced levels, with placement tests on the first day.
Students participate in weekly community projects, such as trail maintenance or beach clean-ups, to practise language in real-world contexts.
