Hotels & Resorts in Curieuse Island are lodgings on the granitic island within the Curieuse Marine National Park, off Praslin in the Seychelles. The island hosts a small number of eco-lodges and guesthouses, accessed by boat from Praslin. Accommodation options are limited to a few licensed establishments, with the island’s main focus on giant tortoise conservation and mangrove trails.
What to expect
- Stay in one of the island's few eco-lodges, each with a maximum of 10 rooms, set among takamaka trees and white-sand beaches.
- Boat transfer from Praslin's jetty takes 15 minutes, with scheduled departures at 9:00 and 15:00 daily.
- Rooms include solar-heated showers, mosquito nets, and a private veranda overlooking the bay; no air conditioning or televisions are provided.
- Guests receive a guided ranger tour of the mangrove boardwalk and the Jean-François Hodoul tortoise enclosure, where 200 Aldabra tortoises roam.
- Meals are served at the lodge's communal table, featuring grilled reef fish, coconut curry, and breadfruit chips, with vegetarian options on request.
- The stay suits nature-focused travellers who accept basic amenities and a 22:00 quiet hour, with no nightlife or shops on the island.
