Horseback Riding in La Digue is a guided trail ride across the island’s sandy paths and coastal flats, based near the jetty on La Digue, Praslin (Seychelles). The tour operates with small groups and gentle, well-trained horses suited to riders of all skill levels. Rides pass through coconut groves, past traditional granite boulders, and along the shoreline of Anse Source d'Argent.
What to expect
- Ride lasts 1 hour and covers roughly 4 kilometres of flat terrain, including beach sections and shaded forest trails
- A helmet and a brief safety briefing are provided before departure, with a guide leading the horse at all times
- You will see the iconic granite formations and turquoise lagoon of Anse Source d'Argent from a saddle, without walking
- Suitable for beginners and children over 8 years, with weight limits up to 90 kilograms per rider
- The tour includes a photo stop at a designated viewpoint, where the guide takes pictures with your own camera or phone
- Morning departures at 9:00 and 10:30 avoid the midday heat, and the ride ends back at the stable near the main road
