Yacht Charter in Tha Khao is a private boat rental service based on the eastern coast of Koh Yao Yai, Thailand. It provides access to the Andaman Sea's limestone karsts, sandbanks, and neighbouring islands such as Koh Hong and Koh Phanak. The charter includes a licensed captain, fuel, and basic safety equipment, with itineraries tailored to tide and weather conditions on the day.
What to expect
- Charter durations range from 4-hour half-day trips to full-day 8-hour excursions, with morning departures at 09:00 and afternoon options at 13:00.
- The vessel is a 12-metre wooden longtail or a 10-metre speedboat, accommodating up to 10 passengers with a shaded cabin and onboard fresh water shower.
- Included in the price are snorkelling masks, fins, life jackets, a cooler box with ice, and a basic Thai lunch or fruit platter for full-day bookings.
- Typical stops include the sea cave at Koh Phanak, the lagoon at Koh Hong, and the sandbar at Koh Lading, each with 45-60 minute swimming or snorkelling breaks.
- The charter suits small groups of 2-10 people, including families with children over 5 years, and operates only during the November to April dry season when sea conditions are calm.
