About
SIXT serves Phuket from its desk at 1st Fl, Domestic Arrival Hall, Maikhao, Thalang, Thalang District, Phuket 83110, Thailand. Travellers landing on the island can collect a car without leaving the terminal building. The branch is a car rental counter.
Visitors score SIXT 4.1 out of 5, a figure drawn from 213 reviews left by previous customers. That feedback reflects a steady stream of renters passing through the arrival hall each season. The counter sits inside the airport's domestic arrivals area, so arriving passengers reach it on foot.
Opening times are not fixed here, but the desk keeps pace with flight arrivals throughout the day. A website at https://www.sixt.com/car-rental/thailand/phuket/phuket-int-airport/ carries booking options and vehicle information for those planning ahead.
From the airport, the main resort areas of Patong, Karon, Kata, Kamala, Bang Tao, Rawai, Nai Harn and Chalong are all reachable by road, making a hire car a practical way to move between them. Southern Thai dialects are spoken along the peninsula and on its islands, which helps to know when asking for directions. The southwest monsoon brings rain from around May to October, followed by a drier, cooler period that suits driving the island's coastal routes.
