Pizzaphuket
About
Found on Phuket, Pizzaphuket sits at 72 Yaowarad Rd in Old Phuket Town, within the Talat Yai area of Muang district. The address places it in the historic quarter rather than on the beach strip, so reaching it from Patong, Karon or Kata means a drive across the island to the east coast.
Old Phuket Town is the island's administrative and commercial core, and the venue's setting keeps it within the town's grid of shophouse streets. As a fast food outlet, it serves quick orders rather than a sit-down menu. A rating of 4.8 out of 5 across 746 reviews marks it as one of the more heavily reviewed quick-service spots on the island.
Guests arriving from Kamala, Bang Tao, Rawai, Nai Harn or Chalong should allow time for the journey into Muang district, since these resort areas sit on the western and southern coasts.
Thai food is built around the balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy, with tom yum, green curry and pad thai among the dishes eaten nationwide. Southern dialects are spoken along the peninsula and its islands, which is useful to know when ordering. Coral reefs, whale sharks and dugongs inhabit Thai waters, and sea turtles nest on several island beaches.
