Phuket lobster house
About
Phuket lobster house serves Phuket from 32 1 Soi Palai, Chalong, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83130, Thailand, a restaurant in the island's southern district. The name puts lobster at the centre of the table, and the kitchen works from Chalong as its base.
Guests have given Phuket lobster house a 3.3 out of 5 average across 248 reviews, a mixed but substantial record of feedback. Chalong sits within reach of Patong, Karon, Kata, Kamala, Bang Tao, Rawai, Nai Harn and Chalong, so diners based in any of the main resort areas can plan a meal here without crossing the whole island. The Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/phuketlobster2019 carries the restaurant's own updates.
Thai islands stay warm and humid throughout the year, so a meal here fits any month of a Phuket trip. Thai waters support coral reefs, whale sharks and dugongs, and sea turtles nest on several island beaches, giving a day out on the water a natural pairing with a seafood dinner.
Chalong is a working harbour area, which makes it a sensible stop for anyone touring the island's southern coast. Reaching the restaurant from the main beach resorts is straightforward, and Songkran in mid-April brings nationwide water celebrations that visitors should plan around. Thai island cooking leans on fresh seafood, curries, noodles and tropical fruit, all easy to find across Phuket.
