The kitchen serves Thai cooking alongside hotel dining, which suits both guests and visitors passing through Patong. That volume of feedback suggests a kitchen tested by repeat custom rather than a single season.
Thailand was never colonised by a European power, and the Chakri dynasty has reigned since 1782. Songkran, the Thai new year water festival, is held nationwide in the middle of April. Thai islands lie in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, and many are fringed with coral reefs. Thai islands are reached by ferry and speedboat from the mainland, and the larger islands have airports.
Patong sits on Phuket's western shore, with Karon, Kata and Kamala among the other beach areas along the same coast.
