Nhà trọ LAN HƯNG

About

Found on Phú Quốc, Nhà trọ LAN HƯNG sits on the largest island in Vietnam, off the southern coast in An Giang province. The property lies within easy reach of the island's main settlements, with Duong Dong, Long Beach and Ong Lang among the closest places to it.

This hostel draws a near-perfect 5 out of 5 from its 6 reviews, a small but flawless record of guest feedback. Duong Dong is the island's main town, and the road network radiating from it connects the island's beaches, fishing villages and ferry points, so reaching the property from the main resorts is straightforward. Among the places framing the wider area are Bai Sao, An Thoi, Ham Ninh, Cua Can and Thom Island.

Vietnamese is a tonal language, and the standard northern dialect distinguishes six tones, which is worth knowing before attempting the local place names. The monsoon brings heavy rain to southern Vietnam between May and October, so the drier months are the easier time to travel around Phú Quốc.

Motorbikes are the usual form of local transport in Vietnam, and ferries carry both passengers and vehicles to the island. Vietnam's main holiday is the lunar new year, when families gather and temples fill with visitors. Most Vietnamese islands lie within about a hundred kilometres of the mainland coast, and Phú Quốc is no exception.
