About this experience

Yacht Charter in Gaios is a private boat rental service based in the harbour of Gaios, the main port of Paxos island. It provides access to the island's coves, caves, and neighbouring islets such as Antipaxos. The service includes a range of vessels, from motorboats to sailing yachts, with options for self-drive or skippered trips.

What to expect

Charters run from 4-hour half-day excursions to full-day or multi-day itineraries, with start times arranged at the Gaios harbour office.
Each boat is equipped with safety gear, a fuel allowance, and a map of recommended routes; snorkelling equipment is provided on request.
Typical routes include the Blue Caves at the southern tip of Paxos, the sandy beaches of Antipaxos, and the secluded coves of Mongonissi and Erimitis.
Self-drive options suit experienced boaters with a valid licence; skippered charters are available for those without, and include a local captain who acts as a guide.
The service suits small groups of up to 8 people, with boats ranging from 6-metre day cruisers to 12-metre sailing yachts.
All charters include a safety briefing and a radio contact with the base; cancellation is free up to 48 hours before departure.
