Drone Photography in Magazia is a guided aerial photography session in the village of Magazia on Paxos island. Participants launch their own drones over the harbour, olive groves, and the Ionian Sea to capture the coastline and Venetian-era architecture. The session is led by a local pilot who provides flight tips and framing advice for the specific light conditions.
What to expect
- Session lasts 90 minutes, including a 15-minute safety briefing and drone setup.
- The guide supplies a pre-programmed flight path covering Magazia's harbour, the cliffside chapel, and the adjacent beach of Kamini.
- Participants receive a digital map of legal no-fly zones and restricted airspace over Paxos before takeoff.
- The activity suits drone pilots of all levels, from beginners to advanced, with the guide offering manual and automated flight modes.
- A post-flight review on a tablet shows side-by-side comparisons of your footage with professional examples from the same locations.
- The session ends with a 10-minute editing tutorial on colour grading for Mediterranean sea tones and white-washed buildings.
