Kafeneio Parikia is a traditional coffee shop on the main waterfront promenade in Parikia, Paros, opposite the ferry dock. It serves Greek coffee, frappe, and light pastries from 7am to midnight daily. The shaded terrace offers direct views of the harbour and the Frankish Castle hill.
What to expect
- Seating is on a stone-paved terrace with 12 tables under tamarisk trees, each with a view of the ferry arrivals
- Greek coffee is brewed in a brass briki over a sand burner, served with a glass of cold water and loukoumi
- Frappe is made with Nescafe Classic, shaken in a metal shaker, and served with evaporated milk on the side
- Pastries include bougatsa with custard and kourou, baked fresh at 6am from the adjacent bakery
- Open from 7am to midnight, with the busiest period between 8am and 10am for commuter coffee
- Suitable for solo travellers reading, couples watching boats, and groups of up to six at the long communal table
