Camel Riding in Parikia is a guided camel trek along the coastal paths of Parikia, the main port town of Paros. Riders mount trained camels for a slow-paced journey that passes the Venetian castle ruins and the waterfront windmill. The activity operates daily from the stable near Livadia Beach, with each ride lasting approximately 30 minutes.
What to expect
- Ride a camel for 30 minutes along the sandy track between Livadia Beach and the old port, with the sea on one side and the whitewashed houses of Parikia on the other.
- Each ride includes a safety briefing, a mounting platform, and a handler who leads the camel by rope for the entire duration.
- Suitable for children aged 4 and up, with a maximum weight limit of 100 kg per rider, and helmets provided for riders under 12.
- You will see the 13th-century Venetian castle walls, the Church of Panagia Ekatontapiliani, and the fishing boats moored in the harbour from the elevated camel seat.
- Rides depart on the hour from 10:00 to 18:00, with no booking required for groups of fewer than six, and a shaded waiting area with water available for companions.
