The site operates year-round and suits travellers seeking a low-cost base for exploring the island's beaches and fishing villages.
What to expect
- Tent pitches are set on a flat, grassy area approximately 200 metres from the Pangkor Town jetty, with space for up to 20 tents.
- Each pitch includes a 3x3 metre ground sheet and access to a shared cold-water shower block and squat toilet, open 24 hours.
- Visitors must bring their own tent, sleeping bag, and cooking stove; no rental equipment or food stalls are on site.
- The campsite is a 10-minute walk to the night market (open Fridays and Saturdays) and a 15-minute walk to Pasir Bogak Beach for swimming.
- Check-in is from 2 PM to 8 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM; overnight stays cost RM15 per person per night, payable in cash at the adjacent sundry shop.
- The site suits budget backpackers and small groups, but is not recommended for families with young children due to the lack of fencing and quiet hours after 10 PM.
