Essons Garage

About

On Orkney, Essons Garage is a car repair workshop at Maitland Place in Finstown, on the Orkney mainland. The garage is known for vehicle repairs and servicing in the village of Finstown, a settlement that sits between Kirkwall and Stromness. Its position at Maitland Place places it within easy reach of drivers travelling between the island's two main towns.

First-time visitors should expect a working garage rather than a retail showroom, with servicing and repair carried out on site. Customers have given Essons Garage a 4.7 out of 5 average across 63 reviews, a record that reflects consistent satisfaction among its clientele. Kirkwall is one of the nearby places that frame a visit, and the garage's Finstown setting makes it a practical stop for those moving between the main towns. The workshop serves drivers from across the Orkney mainland and beyond.

Opening hours are listed for the garage, and the Maitland Place address remains the primary reference point for drivers arriving in Finstown. A website at http://essonsgarage.co.uk/ provides further reference for the business.

Orkney's summer brings long daylight hours and crowded ferries, while winter sailings are often cancelled by weather. British islands have mild, wet and changeable weather, warmed by the Gulf Stream and often windy. Island life centres on harbours, lifeboat stations and the RNLI, with regattas and fetes in summer. Grey seals breed around British island coasts, and basking sharks appear in summer surface waters.
