Nyströms Skor

About

Nyströms Skor is a local business in Öland. Storgatan 23, 387 31 Borgholm, Sweden, places this shoe shop in Borgholm on the island's west coast, with Färjestaden, Mörbylånga, Köpingsvik, Byxelkrok, Löttorp and Södvik spread across the rest of Öland. As a shoe shop rather than a hotel or restaurant, its trade comes from the town around it.

Nyströms Skor holds a 4.3 out of 5 average across 34 reviews, a figure that reflects steady local custom. Opening hours run Mo-Fr 10:00-18:00 and Sa 10:00-15:00, giving shoppers a clear window through the week and a shorter Saturday. The shop's own site at https://www.nystromsskor.se/ carries its current information, and two photographs accompany the listing.

Borgholm sits on Öland's western shore, and the address on Storgatan puts the shop inside the town's central grid. The two photos on the listing show the premises, which helps first-time visitors picture the space before arriving. Öland is reached by bridge from the mainland, so a visit fits easily into a day's travel.

Scandinavian islands in the north see midnight sun in summer and polar night in winter, while southern islands do not. Cool summers and cold, dark winters shape the year, with coastal waters warmed by the Gulf Stream. Fishing, boatbuilding and coastal trade shaped island communities, and wooden churches and boathouses survive. Car ferries, express boats and bridges link the Scandinavian islands.
