NHR Group
About
NHR Group in North Island operates from 255 Bush Road, Albany, Auckland 0632, on the northern side of the city. The business is a car rental service, and it is known for its location in Albany, which serves travellers arriving in or departing from Auckland. First-time visitors should expect a straightforward vehicle hire arrangement rather than a retail showroom.
A 4.5 out of 5 rating from 247 reviews indicates that most customers come away satisfied with the service. The Albany branch sits within reach of Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga and other North Island centres, while Wellington, Rotorua, Taupo, Napier and New Plymouth are further afield but connected by the island's main roads. Hire cars are the usual way to travel on the larger islands, and driving is on the left.
New Zealand's temperate maritime climate keeps summers mild and winters largely free of snow at low altitude, so road conditions rarely interrupt travel plans. English is the main language and te reo Māori is also official, so Māori place names appear throughout the country. Tūī, kererū and other native birds are common, and dolphins, fur seals and seabirds can be seen around the coast.
Māori culture is central to national life, with marae, haka and the Treaty of Waitangi signed in 1840 all part of the country's identity. NHR Group's Albany base places it within the Auckland region, close to the routes that lead north towards the harbours and beaches of the upper North Island.
