Auckland Youth Sailing Club

About

Auckland Youth Sailing Club, a boat or yacht rental operator on North Island, runs its sailing activity from Old Lake Road, Narrow Neck, Auckland 0624, Nueva Zelanda. The club is a sports centre on the North Island, based at Narrow Neck on the Auckland isthmus, with Auckland among the nearby places within reach of its base.

Families, groups and couples can all take part in the sailing the club provides, with sessions organised around the people on the water rather than a single format. A rental from the club includes the boat and the sailing itself, giving participants use of the craft for their booked outing. A 4.7/5 rating across 111 reviews reflects how members and visitors regard the club. The club is based at Narrow Neck on the North Island, with Wellington, Rotorua, Taupo, Hamilton, Tauranga, Napier and New Plymouth among the other places nearby.

The club's site at http://www.wakatere.org.nz/ covers its sailing activity and how to get involved. Photos of the club and its boats are available for anyone wanting a look before booking.

Across New Zealand's islands the climate is temperate, and the busiest stretch for visitors falls in the summer months of December through February, while winters at lower elevations remain gentle. Food in New Zealand is built around fresh seafood, lamb, dairy and local wines, which suits a day spent on the water. Domestic flights and ferries link New Zealand's islands, so reaching Auckland from elsewhere is straightforward. English and Māori are the main languages, so visitors can arrange their sailing without difficulty.
