Newfoundland's climate brings cool summers and cold winters, so summer from June to August is the main travel season. Local food leans on fresh seafood, with Atlantic lobster and salmon featuring on many menus. The island is reached by ferries, bridges and domestic flights, which makes a stop at the garage easy to plan. English and French are the main languages, so arranging a repair is simple for most travellers.
