About this experience

Surf Lessons in Betina is a guided surfing programme based at the waterfront of Betina village on the island of Murter, Croatia. The lessons take place in the calm waters of the Murter channel, sheltered from open-sea swells. Certified instructors provide boards, wetsuits, and safety briefings for each session.

What to expect

Each lesson lasts 90 minutes, including a 20-minute land-based technique drill before entering the water.
All equipment is supplied: soft-top surfboards, wetsuits, and leashes sized for adults and children aged 8 and up.
Sessions run at fixed times daily from 9:00 and 17:00, with a maximum of six students per instructor.
You will practise paddling, pop-up, and balance on flat water before attempting small rolling waves near the harbour breakwater.
The lesson ends with a video review of your attempts, shown on a tablet at the beachside shack, so you can see your posture corrections.
