Diving & Snorkeling in Betina is a guided underwater activity based in the village of Betina on Murter Island, central Dalmatia. It offers access to rocky reefs, seagrass meadows, and shallow wrecks within the nearby Kornati archipelago waters. The excursion suits both certified divers and first-time snorkelers, with equipment and local boat transport provided from the Betina waterfront.
What to expect
- Duration is typically 3 hours, including a 45-minute boat ride to the dive site and 60 minutes underwater or 40 minutes snorkeling.
- Full scuba gear, wetsuit, and weights are included for divers; snorkelers receive mask, fins, and snorkel.
- Visitors see Mediterranean flora and fauna, including damselfish, groupers, octopus, and occasionally sea turtles near the rocky bottom.
- Two guided dives are offered daily: a morning session at 9:00 and an afternoon session at 14:00, each limited to 8 participants.
- Suitable for beginners with a certified instructor, but a minimum age of 10 for snorkeling and 12 for scuba diving applies.
- A dry bag and water bottle are provided, and the boat returns to Betina harbour after each session.
