About this experience

Discover the underwater world of Menorca through scuba courses in Alaior. This inland town might seem an unlikely base for diving, but its proximity to the island's pristine southern coves makes it a perfect starting point for aquatic adventures. Local dive centers offer certifications for beginners and advanced divers alike, focusing on the rich marine life and crystal-clear waters that define this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Alaior's authentic charm sets the stage for a diving experience that feels personal and unhurried. Unlike crowded resort areas, this town provides a genuine Menorcan backdrop where visitors can learn at their own pace. The courses emphasize safety and environmental respect, ensuring every dive leaves a minimal footprint while maximizing discovery.

Expect to explore hidden spots like Cala en Porter or Cala Coves, where limestone cliffs meet turquoise seas. Night dives reveal octopus and moray eels, while shallow reefs teem with colorful fish. The instructors, many of whom are locals, share deep knowledge of Menorca's marine ecosystems, turning each lesson into a cultural exchange.

Whether earning an Open Water certification or trying a beginner's try-dive, these courses offer a gateway to Menorca's silent world. The real reward comes after the dive: swapping stories over a glass of pomada in Alaior's sun-drenched plaza, feeling like part of the island's rhythm.
