About

Island view garden serves Mauritius from Petit Raffray, a village in the north of the island. The restaurant sits within reach of Port Louis, Grand Baie and Pereybère, so diners travelling from the main resorts and the capital can reach it without crossing the island.

A 4.5 out of 5 average has been built from 257 reviews, a record that reflects steady feedback from diners. The restaurant's own site, http://www.islandviewgarden.com/, carries its details. Grand Baie lies close by, and the northern coastline around Petit Raffray keeps the venue within easy driving distance of the island's main tourist towns.

Its position in the north places it between the capital and the northern beaches, with Port Louis and Grand Baie both within the same part of Mauritius. Beau-Vallon and Belle Mare sit further along the coast, while Flic en Flac, Le Morne and Mahébourg lie in other parts of the island.

Cyclone season runs from November to April, and the cooler, drier months between June and September suit visitors planning a meal out. Buses are the main public transport in Mauritius and traffic drives on the left, so hiring a car or taking a bus both work for reaching Petit Raffray. The island's volcanic interior and coral-ringed lagoons shape the scenery along the way.
