Maui Vanilla Farm
About
On Maui, Maui Vanilla Farm, LLC sits at 1521 Haliimaile Rd in Makawao, HI 96768, upcountry from the coastal resorts. The name is what draws most people, and the farm has built its following around vanilla grown and handled on the island rather than shipped in. First-time visitors should expect a working agricultural setting rather than a polished visitor centre, with the pace set by the season and the crop. A 5 out of 5 average across 87 reviews places it among the more consistently reviewed addresses in the upcountry area. Getting there is easy by car from Makawao, Wailuku, Paia and the Kaanapali and Wailea resort strips, all of which connect by the island's main roads. Hana, on the far eastern end, is a much longer drive and better treated as a separate day. Maui's drier season runs from April to October and the wetter months from November to March, which shapes what is happening on the land at any given time. Hawaiian Creole English, known locally as Pidgin, is spoken widely here alongside English. Further information is available at mauivanillafarm.com.
