Planning Authority Canteen
About
Planning Authority Canteen serves Malta from its post at 3 Triq Fra Diegu, Marsa MRS 1501, Malta, where the canteen sits inside the island's central harbour district. Marsa lies just inland from the water, a short hop from Valletta and within easy reach of Sliema, St. Julian's, Paceville, Birgu (Vittoriosa), Mdina, Rabat and Mosta.
Visitors have handed the canteen a 2 out of 5 average across 49 reviews, so those expecting polished surroundings should temper their expectations. As a café, it trades on straightforward food and drink rather than presentation, and its position in Marsa places it within the harbour belt that most of the island's road and bus routes pass through.
Full details of the canteen's offering sit on the website at https://www.pa.org.mt/. The surrounding streets of Marsa are largely administrative and industrial, so the canteen functions chiefly as a stop for people already in the area rather than a destination in its own right.
Getting around Malta is simple because Maltese and English are both official, and Maltese itself is a Semitic language written in the Latin alphabet, so signage and menus are readable to most visitors. The island's mild winters and autumn rains make the coastal paths walkable well outside the summer months.
