Pitch Lounge
About
Found on Malta, Pitch Lounge, at 54 George Borg Olivier St in St Julian's, sits in the heart of the island's nightlife district, where the Paceville entertainment quarter and the Sliema seafront are both a short walk away. Getting here from Valletta, Mdina, Rabat, Mosta, Birgu (Vittoriosa) or the resorts around St. Julian's is straightforward, since the island's compact road network keeps the main towns within easy reach of one another.
St Julian's occupies the north-eastern coast, a position that puts the venue between the capital and the resort belt rather than out on the rural edge. As a bar, it draws a crowd looking for drinks rather than a meal, and its reputation rests on a 4.2 out of 5 average drawn from 466 reviews.
A Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/Pitch-Lounge-104529385114884 carries further reference for the bar.
Malta's position on a major bird migration route means the blue rock thrush is the national bird, while Gozo remains greener and more rural than the main island and Comino is largely undeveloped apart from the Blue Lagoon. Village festas honour patron saints through the summer with band marches, processions and fireworks, and Italian is widely understood across the islands.
