u. Bar
About
u. Bar, a bar or nightlife venue on Mallorca, occupies Carrer d'Alexandre de Laborde, 30, Ponent, 07011 Palma, Illes Balears. The setting puts it in Palma's Ponent district, with the city centre and the wider island within easy reach.
u. Bar does not run events, live music or DJ nights, so the draw is the bar itself rather than a scheduled programme. Visitors give it 4.2 out of 5, a mark that sits above the island's mid-range bars. That average rests on 71 reviews, a compact but usable body of feedback for a bar in Palma. The Ponent side of the city keeps it away from the busiest tourist circuits.
Rainfall on Mallorca is low and falls mainly in autumn and winter, so summer drought is normal and evenings stay dry. The tramuntana, a cold north wind, blows strongly at times in winter and spring, which can change the feel of a terrace seat.
Catalan and Spanish are both official on the island, with the local dialect known as mallorquí, so a greeting in either language lands well. Palma's bar scene spreads across the centre and the waterfront, and this one sits on the western edge of that map.
