Mestre Ràpid
About
Mestre Ràpid, on Mallorca, is a shoe repair service at Carrer de Gregori Sallambe, 3, Centre, 07012 Palma, Illes Balears. First-time visitors can expect straightforward repairs rather than a browsing destination.
With 157 reviews and a 4.7 out of 5 rating, the workshop has earned strong word of mouth. Palma sits well connected to the island's main resorts, so reaching the centre from Alcúdia, Magaluf, Cala d'Or, Port d'Alcúdia, Santa Ponsa, Puerto Pollença or Cala Millor is manageable by road. The tramuntana, a cold north wind, blows strongly at times in winter and spring, which is worth packing for.
Photographs of the premises are available. Palma anchors the south of Mallorca, and the island's low rainfall, falling mainly in autumn and winter, means summer drought is the norm.
Visitors based in the larger resorts can plan a Palma trip around errands and repairs. Mestre Ràpid suits travellers who need footwear or leather goods repaired while on Mallorca. The Balearic Islands each have their own airports, and Formentera is reached by ferry from Ibiza, so island hopping around Mallorca takes some planning. Migrating birds pass through the islands, and shearwaters nest on the cliffs, adding seasonal interest for anyone travelling in spring or autumn.
