Dance Studios in Côte d'Or is a dance instruction venue located on Praslin Island in the Seychelles, set near the Côte d'Or beachfront. The studio offers structured classes in various dance styles for residents and holidaymakers. Sessions run in the late afternoon and early evening, with a focus on partner dances and fitness-oriented routines.
What to expect
- Classes last 60 to 90 minutes, with a 10-minute warm-up and a 5-minute cool-down stretch.
- Each session includes a live demonstration by the instructor, followed by step-by-step guided practice in small groups of up to 12 participants.
- Visitors learn either the Seychellois traditional moutya dance or a Latin sequence (salsa or bachata), depending on the weekday schedule.
- The studio provides a sprung wooden floor, mirrored walls, and a sound system with playlists for each genre.
- Suitable for beginners and intermediate dancers aged 16 and over; no partner is required as rotations are built into the class format.
- Shoes with smooth soles are mandatory, and the studio rents clean dance shoes for 50 Seychelles rupees per session.
