About this experience

Golf Courses in Ponta da Calheta is a 27-hole golf complex located on the southern coast of Porto Santo, within the Pestana Porto Santo All Inclusive & Spa Resort. The course, designed by Nick Price, sits on sandy terrain with Atlantic Ocean views from every hole. It is the only golf course on the island and operates year-round with a par of 72 for the main 18-hole layout.

What to expect

Play the 18-hole championship course (par 72, 6,200 metres) or the 9-hole executive loop, both with ocean-facing fairways and bunkers set among natural dunes.
Rent clubs, trolleys, and buggies on-site, and use the practice range, putting green, and chipping area before your round.
Expect strong coastal winds, especially in the afternoon, which add difficulty to the exposed holes near the shoreline.
The clubhouse provides locker rooms, a bar, and a terrace overlooking the 18th green, with post-round refreshments available.
Suitable for intermediate and advanced golfers; beginners can book a lesson with the resident PGA professional at the academy.
A full round takes approximately 4 hours, with tee times available from 8:00 to 16:00 daily, and transfer from the resort included for guests.
