Sipadan Island's Hotels & Resorts offer exclusive dive-focused accommodation on the only island in Malaysia with direct access to the world-renowned Sipadan Marine Park. These resorts provide guided diving permits, beachfront chalets, and full-board meals, situated within a 30-minute boat ride from the island's jetty. The resorts are the sole lodging option on Sipadan, ensuring a private, nature-immersed stay for certified divers and snorkellers.
What to expect
- Stay in one of the island's limited beachfront chalets, with a maximum of 120 guests per day to protect the marine ecosystem.
- Each resort includes a daily diving permit for Sipadan's drop-offs, with two guided boat dives per day (tanks and weights provided).
- Full-board dining is included, featuring Malaysian and Western dishes, with meals served in a communal hall overlooking the sea.
- Guests see green turtles, barracuda tornadoes, and reef sharks during dives, with visibility often exceeding 30 metres.
- Suitable for certified divers (Open Water or higher) and snorkellers, with non-diving partners accommodated at a lower rate.
- Resorts operate on a fixed 3-day/2-night minimum stay, with transfers from Tawau Airport via land and boat included.
