Diving & Snorkeling in Gili Meno is a guided water activity based on the island's fringing reefs and clear, shallow waters. The trip operates from Gili Meno's east and south coasts, where coral gardens and turtle habitats lie within 50 metres of the shore. It suits both certified divers and first-time snorkellers, with equipment and boat transfers provided from the island's jetty.
What to expect
- Trip duration is 2 hours for snorkelling or 3 hours for a two-tank dive, with a maximum group size of six participants per guide.
- Includes mask, snorkel, fins, buoyancy control device, regulator, and weights; wetsuits are available for rent at 50,000 IDR.
- Snorkellers swim over a 200-metre stretch of staghorn coral and encounter green sea turtles at the Turtle Point site, with visibility typically 10-15 metres.
- Divers descend to 12-18 metres along the Meno Wall, where white-tip reef sharks and frogfish are sighted on the vertical drop-off.
- The activity starts at 9:00 or 14:00 from the Gili Meno harbour, with a 10-minute boat ride to the reef sites.
- Suitable for children aged 8 and above for snorkelling and 12 and above for diving, provided they have a medical clearance form signed by a guardian.
