Surf Lessons in Ios is a guided surfing session on the beaches of Ios, a Greek island in the Cyclades. The activity provides beginner-friendly instruction with all necessary equipment, set against the island's clear Aegean waters. Lessons are conducted by certified instructors who tailor the session to each participant's skill level.
What to expect
- Two-hour group or private lesson on the sandy beach of Mylopotas, with wetsuit, surfboard, and leash included
- Learn paddle techniques, pop-up positioning, and wave-reading drills on dry land before entering the water
- Practice catching white-water waves in a shallow, protected bay, with the instructor in the water beside you
- Suitable for ages 8 and up, including non-swimmers who use a flotation belt provided by the school
- Each session ends with a video review of your ride, showing your posture and timing for correction
- All lessons include a rash guard and reef-safe sunscreen, and changing rooms and showers are available on-site
