Restaurants & Dining in San Bartolomé is the local culinary scene of this Lanzarote town, offering a mix of traditional Canarian taverns and modern eateries. The dining options here centre on fresh seafood, papas arrugadas, and local wines from the surrounding La Geria region. Visitors can eat where residents do, with menus that reflect the island's volcanic terroir.
What to expect
- Sample papas arrugadas with mojo sauces at a family-run guachinche-style bar in the town centre.
- Order a full meal for two at a mid-range restaurant for around 30-40 EUR, including a starter, main, and local wine.
- Watch chefs grill fresh cherne or vieja (parrotfish) on open charcoal grills at the weekend lunch service.
- Pair your meal with a glass of Malvasía wine from a nearby La Geria bodega, often listed on the house pour.
- Dine outdoors on terraces facing the main church square, with tables available from 12:30 to 15:30 and 19:00 to 22:30.
- Find vegetarian options at the newer tapas bars, which serve goat cheese salads and grilled vegetable plates alongside meat dishes.
