Restaurants & Dining in Playa Honda is a curated guide to the seafront eateries, tapas bars, and family-run restaurants along the Avenida de los Marineros in Playa Honda, Lanzarote. The area offers fresh Canarian seafood, grilled meats, and local wines within a short walk of the beach. Most establishments serve lunch from 12:30 to 15:30 and dinner from 19:00 to 22:30, with terraces overlooking the Atlantic.
What to expect
- Sample 'papas arrugadas' with mojo sauce at Casa Guacimara, a local favourite since 1985, located 50 metres from the beach.
- Watch the daily catch being grilled at La Marisma, where the 'parrillada de pescado' for two includes a mix of parrotfish, sea bream, and squid.
- Enjoy a set lunch menu (€12–€15) at Bar El Parque, which includes a starter, main, bread, and a drink, served weekdays from 12:30 to 15:00.
- Browse the evening tapas route along Calle César Manrique, where five bars offer small plates of croquetas, pulpo a la gallega, and jamón ibérico for €3–€6 each.
- Pair your meal with a glass of Malvasía wine from the Lanzarote D.O. at Bodega La Geria, which lists over 20 local labels by the glass.
- Families with children can use the high chairs and children's menus at Restaurante El Puerto, which also offers a shaded playground adjacent to the terrace.
