About this experience

Festivals in Puerto del Carmen is a year-round programme of cultural celebrations held across the resort town on Lanzarote's southern coast. The calendar includes patron saint fiestas, music concerts, and traditional processions that take place in the town's squares and along the seafront. Each event reflects local Canarian customs, with live performances, street stalls, and family-oriented activities.

What to expect

Patron saint fiestas in January and October feature religious processions, live folk music, and firework displays over the harbour.
Summer concerts and open-air DJ sessions run from June to August, with stages set up on Avenida de las Playas and Playa Chica beach.
Traditional Canarian wrestling exhibitions and craft markets appear during the September fiestas, offering local food and handmade goods.
Children's activities include inflatable play areas, face painting, and puppet shows scheduled during afternoon hours.
Evening events typically start at 21:00 and last until midnight, with food stalls selling papas arrugadas and grilled fish.
The programme suits all ages, with quieter daytime events for families and livelier night-time performances for adults.
