Coffee Shops in Yaiza is a self-guided tour of the village's independent cafés in Yaiza, Lanzarote. The route links five established coffee houses within a 1.5-kilometre walk of the central plaza. Each stop offers a distinct brewing style, from volcanic-rock filter to Canarian cortado.
What to expect
- The walking route takes 2-3 hours at a relaxed pace, covering five cafés between Plaza de los Remedios and Calle Libertad.
- Each café visit includes one standard hot drink of your choice, with alternative milks available at three of the five venues.
- You will see traditional whitewashed Yaiza architecture and volcanic stone walls along the route, with each café's terrace facing either the plaza or the Timanfaya foothills.
- Two of the five cafés roast their own beans on-site, and you can watch the roasting drum operate during morning sessions.
- The tour suits solo travellers or pairs who want a slow morning, with seating for groups of up to four at each stop.
- A printed route card with a map and a stamp space for each café is provided at the first venue, and completed cards earn a 10 percent discount at the fifth café.
