About this experience

Hotels & Resorts in Playa de Santiago are coastal accommodations on the southern shore of La Gomera, one of the Canary Islands. These properties sit near the town's fishing harbour and the black-sand beach, with views across the Atlantic toward Tenerife. The area offers a quiet base for hiking in Garajonay National Park or taking ferry trips to other islands.

What to expect

Rooms typically include a private balcony or terrace facing the sea or the surrounding valley, with direct access to the resort's outdoor pool.
On-site facilities commonly feature a buffet restaurant serving Canarian dishes, a bar with local wines, and a small spa with a sauna and massage room.
The beach of Playa de Santiago is a 5-minute walk from most hotels, with sun loungers and a promenade linking to the marina.
Guests can join guided coastal walks along the GR-131 trail, which starts near the resort and follows cliffs to the neighbouring village of Alojera.
The accommodation suits couples and older travellers seeking a low-key stay, as the town has few nightlife options and closes early in the evening.
Ferry connections from the nearby port to San Sebastián de La Gomera and Los Cristianos in Tenerife run several times daily, with the terminal a 10-minute walk from the hotels.
