Coffee Shops in Vallehermoso is a guided café tour in the town of Vallehermoso, La Gomera, visiting three working coffee roasteries and tasting rooms. The tour covers the island's small-batch coffee production, from green beans to cup, with a local barista as host. Each stop includes a 20-minute tasting flight of single-origin Canary Island brews.
What to expect
- Tour lasts 2.5 hours and includes three café stops within a 500-metre walking radius of Vallehermoso's central plaza
- At each roastery, you watch a live roast of 1 kilogram of beans and receive a 50-millilitre pour-over sample
- The first stop is a family-run roastery that has used the same 1960s drum roaster since opening
- The second café serves a traditional 'café de olla' with cinnamon and orange peel, brewed in a clay pot
- The final stop offers a cold-brew tasting paired with local almond cake, and you keep a 100-gram bag of beans
- Suitable for coffee enthusiasts and casual drinkers; the route is flat and accessible for wheelchairs
